    We have our own laboratory in Switzerland where we process and cryopreserve samples directly (without using external laboratories). Families can visit our facility at any time. We are a true Biobank because storage takes place directly at our premises and remains for the duration of the cryopreservation contract in our hands (we do not send samples to other countries);

    CERTIFICATIONS THAT COUNT

    SSCB is the only Fact NetCord accredited, GMP certified and Hybrid Bank biobank. This is why we offer families superior quality and why our prices may be higher than those of other biobanks.

    SSCB HAS BEEN FACT NETCORD ACCREDITED FOR 10 YEARS

    For over 10 years SSCB has been FACT NetCord accredited, the specific accreditation for cord blood stem cells, which is recognised worldwide and which is also issued to public banks for donation. This type of accreditation is granted after strict controls have been carried out in the laboratory and ensures and guarantees the sample for use in the event of a transplant.

    GMP CERTIFIED

    Good Manufacturing Practice. This certification, which requires compliance with strict operating procedures, raises the quality of products developed by SSCB to drug level;

    SWISSMEDIC

    SSCB is authorised by the competent Swiss public health authorities including Swissmedic which is the analogue of AIFA in Switzerland. As our laboratory and biobank are located in Switzerland, it is regularly controlled by Swissmedic;

    SSCB has entered into a collaboration with the University Hospital of Bern in the context of so-called hybrid conservation. The samples processed by SSCB are of such high quality that they are the only private samples made accessible to the Swiss public system and included in the donor registers. This is only possible because the SSCB has the same level of quality as the public health system;
